Change & Choices
Change is hard. Change is constant. Change is inevitable.
The thing is, everything and everyone changes. Sometimes it is quick and noticeable changes, other times it is slow and happens without you seeing or noticing it.
A lot of the times, we use the excuse that things happen TO us. That we don’t have control over everything, and therefore we have very little power over our lives. And although it is true, you cannot control what happens TO you, you have immense power and influence over how you react to it.
And your reaction sets other events in motion – it becomes an ACTION, which in itself is something that YOU make happen.
I teach my kids that you always have a choice. You may not like your choices, but you do always have one. Not making a choice, is also a decision you make. Understanding your options are the first step into making better choices.
Your whole life is series of choices. From the moment you wake up to when you go to sleep you make thousands of decisions every day. And every choice you make, affects the rest of your life.
Sounds ridiculous, right?
How can whether you drink coffee or water have any affect on your future in 5 years’ time? Well, it’s not so much the actual choice you make, as to the why you made it. Every choice sends out a signal to the universe as to where you are and where you are going, and the universe responds in kind.
By making choices that line up with where you want to go, you will move more and more into that direction, and the universe will conspire to get you there, and to give you what you want.
BUT…
you have to know what you want and where you want to go. Otherwise, you won’t get it, and you won’t get there.
So, do you know what you want? Do you know where you want to go?
